When crafting a roadmap, it is best to meet face-to-face with stakeholders. Such interactions give you the crucial buy-in you need. At the same time, product teams often use tools to communicate and collaborate as they flesh out their roadmaps. There is roadmapping software out there, such as ProdPad, Roadmunk, ProductBoards, Aha! and ProductPlan. Other teams use general products like JIRA, Slack and Google Docs.
What are these tools useful for in your organization? How are they not? Discuss.
I go into communication with stakeholders and roadmapping software in Chapter 8 of my book Product Roadmaps Relaunched.
