A few weeks ago, I did an unscientific poll: What is your company doing in response to COVID-19? Layoffs? Furloughs? Expanding? Etc. Interesting results below. There is no one answer. Companies seem to be taking action across the board. I am most happy to see that changing the product mix and accelerating future plans were the strongest categories, followed by hiring/expanding and discounts. Companies around the world seem to be past the panic stage and adjusting course in the current climate. Time to revisit and revise your roadmap.
Comments were interesting too: “Lightly dipping our toes back into the hiring market, roadmap remains stable.” “Shift tech talent to billable work (activation) and cut non-urgent roadmap items.”
