Roadmaps are a team sport. If you include sales, marketing, finance, and others in your roadmapping process, you’ll get a better roadmap, and better buy in.

But should you include everybody? Too many people make it hard to make decisions. For a brainstorming workshop, groups from ten to twenty people can be engaging, generating lots of ideas. For a workshop aimed at decisive action, three to five people works better. Tailor your invitations to each workshop based on its purpose.
