ONE THING on Don't Set and Forget OKRs

Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) are meant to help inform decisions within the quarter. Progress should be measured at least twice per month to determine if what you are doing needs to be adjusted to meet the goal.

This often requires you to use leading indicators or proxy measures that change rapidly enough to show progress in-quarter. If you cannot release frequently, you can, for example, use prototype testing to measure user task completion or engagement prior to release.

I have seen teams come up with splendid OKRs, ignore them until quarter has ended, and then wonder why they failed. Don't do this, please. How often do you measure progress? Tell me a story.
