Recently I wrote on the importance of workshopping when creating a roadmap. How you lead the discussion can make all the difference. A few tips we've developed over the years:
Subscribe to my weekly Nano-letter:
Have a single facilitator who will move the conversation forward.
Agree on the goals and agenda at the start.
Encourage input from everyone by using silent writing before discussion.
Have a code word or a hand gesture (like a “time out” sign) when someone feels the discussion is getting unnecessarily combative or going off topic.
