How much participation are you allowing your stakeholder?
Three groups of workers at a manufacturing plant were asked to adopt a new process, each under different conditions:

training — workers were simply given instructions,
training with feedback — after the instructions, workers gave feedback and adjustments were made,
co-design — workers were given the problem to solve and participated in creating the new process.
Co-design was the most successful. Workers were more productive, and relationships with managers were better. Each of the other two had lower productivity and poorer worker/manager relationships.
